GravityView, the best way to display Gravity Forms entries on your website, is a brand new Premium WordPress plugin, available since today.

You could play with its demo or just buy it! And if your are in the affiliates mood, there’s also room for you! (note, none of the links in this blog have affiliated codes.)

Tell me more about GravityView

Zack Katz, the developer of several WordPress plugins, had the idea of re-writing one of his most successful plugins in the WP repo, the Gravity Forms Directory add-on plugin.

And so, GravityView gain life.

It’s a complete revamp of the old Directory plugin, built from the ground up to be as easy to use as possible (one click sets it all), extendable as crazy through lots of hooks and a built-in templating system, and using the new Gravity Forms API for better performance and control.

I strongly recommend old GF Directory users to migrate to GravityView as it is a much more mature and powerful plugin. You just need to switch the shortcode (or use the View itself) and you’re done — same Gravity Forms entries. And, as a really nice bonus, the already approved entries will work in GravityView approve entries system!

The GravityView admin interface comes with two major features:

  • Preset Views – one-click configuration sets that will create the Gravity Form and configure the respective View for you in a breeze.
  • Drag-n-drop UI to fine tune the View layout (add and remove field entries or widgets as needed)

The released version comes as well with the ability of editing the Gravity Forms entries directly on the frontend — one of the most wanted features of the Gravity Forms enthusiasts.

There’s much more to found out, several extensions and complex Premium Views (like the Map View) to come.

After 8 months of hard work, several refactor sprints, re-design, decisions, I really think the plugin will make your day if you’re looking for an easy way to display your forms’ entries at your site’s frontend, either as a directory listing (real estate, classified ads, car listings, job opportunities…) or just on a simple table style.

Just give it a try!
